The much-anticipated Vote of No Confidence in President Christopher Loeak has everyone rushed to the parliament chamber as the Nitijela reconvened its regular sessions on October 14th.
Interested public as well as students from Rita Christian School gathered to the Nitijela chamber to witness the event as the opposing party has expressed their intent to file a motion of no confidence against the current president.
According to a source, the VONC was unlikely to happen as pressing issues are still pending especially in regards to the FY2014 Budget. The FY2014 Budget bill was introduced on October 14 by Finance Minister Dennis Momotaro and has passed the 1st reading and is now under the Appropriation Committee for review.
As of today, OTV has yet to contact members of the Opposition Party to follow up on their motion for Vote of No Confidence.
