On September 17, Palau Supreme Court Chief Justice Arthur Ngiraklsong sentenced a man who orchestrated a series of robberies last year to 10 years in prison.
Andy Lai was sentenced to serve 8 years for Robbery count one, and an additional two years for conspiracy to commit robbery, which would be served consecutively.
The Court earlier found Lai guilty of two counts of robbery, two counts of grand larceny, one count of conspiracy to commit the crime of grand larceny, and one count of conspiracy to commit the crime of aggravated assault.
He originally faced 79 criminal counts ranging from Robbery to Assault and Battery with a dangerous weapon.
Lai and three Palauan men early last year robbed several stores in Koror including the Long Rainbow Tour Company.
