More than forty singers from across the Micronesian region are taking part in the first Micronesia Got Talent on Facebook and Youtube.
Three young ladies are representing Palau with several participants from the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia and Guam.
Each week, the participants are asked to sing and record their rendition of the week’s song of choice.
The video is then posted on Youtube for the judges and the viewers to vote on.
The judges’ tallies up the scores based on singing ability, clarity, originality and stage presence.
The viewers are also allowed to vote on the videos by clicking “like” on Micronesia’s Got Talent’s Facebook page.
Following first week’s video submission, Peizy Sanemai of Yap State is leading with 83 points with Semei Aiashy of Chuuk and Dee Uehara of Palau tied with 80 points followed by Diedre Dawn Uehara of Chuuk State with 79.
The top four are also battling it out at the top of the viewer’s votes.
