The United States Department of Defense is taking precautions as they deploy a defense missile system to Guam to defend the island nation from possible attacks from North Korea.
Although the U.S. military is adjusting to what the Defense Secretary calls a “real and clear danger”, they government continues to urge North Korean leadership to ceases threats and comply with its international obligations.
North Korea however is escalating its threats citing a law ratified this week authorizing plans for counter-actions.
Despite North Korea’s threats to attack U.S. territories and allies, such as Guam and Japan, the White House says they have not seen any changes with their military posture.
North Korea made threats to attack U.S. military bases in Guam and Japan following a military exercise conducted by the U.S. and South Korea last month.
