Palau’s Narcotics Division conducted a buy-bust operation last week, where German Nunez a Filipino national was apprehended for the sale and possession of methamphetamine.
The buy-bust operation was conducted with help from a confidential informant. The informant was provided with $800 worth of marked bills and was also wired with a recording device during the operation. Nunez was immediately arrested after the exchange between him and the informant. According to records, officers found additional drugs in Nunez’s room.
During his arraignment before Chief Justice Arthur Ngiraklsong he entered a not guilty plea. He is now under custody of Palau’s correction division waiting for his trial date set for May 3.
