[hdvideo id=523]

Guam Senator Tina Muña-Barnes is planning to introduce legislation to legalize marijuana for medicinal purposes.
Senator Muña-Barnes told Radio Australia’s Pacific Beat that the legal system should focus more on serious crimes, people should not have to go to jail for simple possession of cannabis.
She says in Guam, people are very family orientated and have talked greatly about the medical use for those suffering from a lot of ailments.
A recent public hearing also shows the “resounding support” for it.
Although many support the proposal, but there are many who are scared to speak revealing that some veterans have called her office in support but refuses to reveal their identities out of fear of losing their veteran disability benefits.
Muña-Barnes says she plans to introduce the legislation soon.
