Business trainers from the Micronesian region have enhanced their skills in providing expertise in the areas of marketing, quality assurance and business development following a four-day train-the-trainers workshop in Guam.
From August 12-15, business trainers from Palau, the Marshall Islands, and the Federated States of Micronesia, refreshed and enhanced their skills through a workshop facilitated by two European Union funded project – the Increasing Agricultural Commodity Trade (IACT) project and the Pacific Regional Tourism Capacity Building Programme (or PRTCBP).
IACT Team Leader Samu Turagacati notes that “having well-rounded business trainers who are easily accessible to entrepreneurs… will facilitate the provision of the necessary technical assistance and advisory services fro enterprises to grow and expand.
Lisa Abraham, workshop participant from Palau’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) expressed the importance of the training and notes that she gained tools that can be used in matters of quality, business systems and processes.
