A new public health program called Community and Public Health (CPH) has been launched at the Palau Community College (PCC) to provide students opportunities for training and education in public health.
Dr. G. Cuboni CHP Facilitator and Senior Public Health Advisor to the Ministry of Health says the program is similar to a program introduced in the Federated States of Micronesia in 2007.
The program offers two degrees: the Associated of Science Degree in Public Health/Emergency Health Management and the Associated of Science Degree in Public Health.
Dr. Cuboni explained that the program offers career development and advancement opportunities for existing health workers as well as for high school graduates who wish to enter the health field.
Classes will begin at PCC this upcoming fall semester.
