Palau Senator Hokkons Baules, who was scheduled to begin serving his 30-day jail sentence for violating his probation, has been granted reprieve from the President.
Baules was scheduled to turn himself in on June 22 to begin his jail sentence, but he has remained out of jail despite the court judgment.
The President reportedly granted Baules reprieve following his petition for executive clemency.
A letter from the President granting the reprieve reportedly puts the action in place until August 13th.
Baules was ordered to serve 30-days in jail for violating his probation when he committed another crime while serving a 3-year probation for a criminal case he was earlier convicted of and sentenced.
