The National Development Bank of Palau’s energy efficient loan program has been selected as one of four finalists competing for a renowned global green energy award.
The program was selected as a finalist for the 2013 Ashden Awards along with three other innovative green energy programs such as the D&E Green Enterprise in Haiti and the Green Power program in Vanuatu.
The finalists including Palau are up for an award under the Small Island Developing States category.
Award winners will be receiving cash prizes from anywhere between $7, 500 to $60, 000 US dollars as well as support from the organization. A total of 14 winners will be announced and awarded under the five different categories at the awards ceremony in London on June.
