With Gibbons’ resignation, two active board members now remains namely Clarence Masayos Chairman of the Board and Director John Sugiyama.
Gibbons thanked President Remengesau for “the opportunities for personal and professional development” and expressed that she is “proud of having been able to incorporate a list of key performance indicators” into the new GM’s contract.
Gibbons however did not elaborate on why she’s resigning from the post, but did say that “based on several board meeting it has been become clear to me that I can no longer be an effective member” of the PPUC Board.
With the PPUC Board of Directors compromised of two members, it is not clear whether President Remengesau Jr. will be appointing other candidates to fill in the vacancies.
