A small group of individuals under the Rita Reimaanlok Committee are engaging in several activities to battle climate change as well as protect and beautify the lagoon in the Marshall Islands.
The Committee, which was established almost two years ago, supports all the landowners within Rita, in planning and engaging with the community to address development needs.
Just recently the small group gathered together for an underwater clean up in the lagoon where they collected garbage in efforts to protect and beautify the environment.
“The underwater clean up is in response to climate change, beautification and its about keeping our island clean,” said Abacca A. Maddison, Chair of the Rita Reimaanlok Committee.
