Within days after taking office, President Tommy Remengesau Jr. is beginning to make changes within his administration.
On January 21, Victoria Roe was sworn in as the Republic’s new Attorney General, taking over the position from Ernestine Rengiil. Roe previously served as one of several Assistant AG’s.
Additionally on January 18, President Remengesau designated Vice President Antonio Bells as the Bopha Catastrophe Relief Coordinator. Patrick Tellei, who held the position designated by former President Johnson Toribiong will no longer be associated with the Committee.
More changes may be made in the coming days and weeks as President Remengesau continues to organize his administration and names his cabinet members.
